About AVT
Why AVT?

Image Driven
If you have an idea, then AVT can make it happen!  We are NOT cookie cutters.  We engineer custom solutions. AVT has proven many times in the past that we can design and produce custom A/V solutions to suit your particular needs.

We have a number of innovations and inventions to our credit. Three of our projects have received extensive acclaim and have been given a Government grant as a reward for developing new technology in Canada.

AVT can design an A/V system that will blend into any environment, without changing the boardroom design. AVT works closely with architects and interior designers to get the look you want.

Here are a few examples of custom designs by AVT:

We are proud of this integration. We utilize a readily available table pop-up for this integration. The pop-up was dressed with a computer designed "hat" comprised of a tri-element microphone and a portion of the table. When down, all AV and PC support devices are hidden.

.
This boardroom couldn't take a projector in the wall.  So, we custom built a pop down mirror.

This is a pop-up projector lift. We utilized a hex pattern on the table to hide the presence of the pop-up projector.  We also added a connection on the side of the pop-up to plug in a video conference camera.

Our Clients

All of our clients expect discretion from their contractors. In order to safeguard our client’s privacy, we make it a point not to talk about them.  Our clients prefer this relationship.

Letters of referral and commendation are available and will be provided to all serious integration / consultation customers.
So, we cannot tell you who our clients are. But, we can tell you what they are:

1) Corporate or industrial based.
2) Interested in an A/V company that is trustworthy and works within the framework of "Standard Business Practices".
3) Advanced users that expect a little more from their A/V environment.

Give us a call, and we can talk about your expectations.  We believe that once you are our customer, then you will remain our customer.  One of the cornerstones of customer service is to "never lose a client" and in order to keep clients happy year after year, we put the customer’s needs first. We will not fill a need with something that "will do". Rather, we fill the need with "the ideal solution."

Presidents Message

Our company started out legally as AVID Systems back in 1988.  In 1991, we changed our name to Absolute Video Theatre™ for the following reasons:

  1. The new name described the type of system that we were striving to produce (at that time).
  2. The word "Absolute" is descriptive of something well defined and nearing perfection.
  3. "Absolute" would always find its way to the beginning of lists.

As it turned out, the name AVID became quite a popular name with a number of products and companies using the name.

We incorporated our business in 1994 and our full legal name became 1185540 Ontario Inc., operating as Absolute Video Theatre™, AVT and AVT.ca.  AVT is the acronym for our full name and is short and to the point.

Over the years, we have physically moved our offices around as we have grown. However, we have not changed our main contact phone number as we felt that maintaining the same phone number was critical to maintain our contact with clients from yesteryear.

We have a few Modus Operandi that remain true to this day:

  1. Never lose a client, by way of superior service and a cheerful attitude.
  2. Always give the client what they want, not what we want to give them.
  3. Operate in an honest and forthright manner at all times.

Thanks for taking the time to find out more about us.  Please contact us!

Yours truly,
Mark J. Corlett CTS, CEO
